    Description

    An old tin lid for a Purity oatmeal jar. It has a split on the side which doesn't detract much from its function and look. It is 3-7/8 inches diameter so would fit a jar that size. Purity sold  oatmeal in a quart size multi paneled glass jar with the name Purity embossed. It was used when empty as a storage jar or Hoosier cabinet jar. If you have a jar embossed Purity, then this is the lid for it. Circa 1910's to 1920's. NOTE: I will list many more fruit jar lids, clamps and tin food jar lids I saved over the years.
