FRENCH ROCOCO STYLE SILVER PLATED 3 PC TEA & COFFEE SET WITH TRAY - ERCUIS

Description

Offered is an exquisite and estate fresh French Louis XV or rococo style swirled / torsade design footed 3 piece tea and coffee set, with tray - made in France, 2nd half of 20th century. The pots have cast feet, swirled baluster form bodies, and hand carved wood handles. They are marked on bottoms with “25” and makers mark for ‘J NOE’ with ship symbol, as depicted in photos.
The tray is entirely hand chased in swirl/ torsade motif and stamped on the back rim ‘Ercuis’ - a very well known French maker on par with Christofle. All pieces are finely detailed and heavy weight.
The service comprises: a teapot, coffee pot,cream pitcher, and tray.
All 4 pieces are silver plated. The pots are hallmarked on bottoms with “25” (micron thickness is silver playing, I’m told) and ‘J. NOE’ maker mark with ship. Tray marked as depicted ‘ERCUIS’.
Condition: All pieces have clean interiors and secure handles. Minimal surface scratches/ patina/ tarnish tiny blemishes commensurate with age and use. Tray has noticeable scratches. See photos as part of the description, and enlarge them to best assess condition.
