Cross 150th anniversary Limited Edition Fountain Pen
This beauty is an Cross limited edition pen issued for the 150th anniversary of the company in 1996. Only 2750 were made! The finely engraved cap and barrel are 1/20 part 12KT gold filled with black inlaid pattern. The cap engraving includes "2266 of 2750" and "150th anniversary", and is hallmarked with A.T. Cross' classic " MADE USA". The special nib is 18kt gold (.750) and is marked as such in addition to bearing the "1846-1996" marking unique to the 150th anniversary series. This fountain pen has a Fine nib.
This pen does does not include the box or papers. It was very lightly used and shows only minimal visible signs of wear that I can detect. There was a small amount of blue ink inside that has since been flushed out with distilled water. Some residue still remains.
This amazing pen belonged to my father, who was an avid fountain pen collector. I do not claim to be a fountain pen expert, but I can vouch for the quality of his pen collection.
