    Description

    CHILD / YOUTH FLATWARE SET, STERLING, .950 silver,  PURIFORCAT, FRANCE. c.1905.
    THREE PIECE CHILD / YOUTH SET, in fitted case (8” x 4’”x 1”)
    from Hooseman's Jeweler, Brussels, Belgium.
    Made by Puriforcat, Paris, 1900-1910.
    Remains of gilt wash. First standard .950. Large spoon, 7-1/4 inches long, small spoon. 4-1/4 inches long, and fork, 7 inches long.
    “Empire Swan “ pattern, decorated with a wreath and swan with outspread wings.
    Monogram on back of handle, Gothic “HH”
    Marks: "EP" in diamond, for Emile Puriforcat.   Export mark (Mercury head with 1=.950 silver standard) with reverse strike.
    Condition: good, remains of gild wash..
