Industrial grade beeswax is available in a 1 pound block and can be used as a base ingredient in furniture polish, shoe polish, ski & surfboard wax, and it can also be used in woodworking, gunsmithing and sewing. Since this is industrial grade beeswax, the color and aroma can vary, depending on where the wax came from in the bee hive. This wax has already been filtered by us, which makes it more convenient for you to use, although some fine particles may still remain. This is 100% pure beeswax; nothing has been added to it. Color ranges from rich caramel to a deeper tan.
Please note: certain products, such as beeswax and mold release, are more easily damaged while transporting during both hot and cold temperature extremes. Please understand that these products will ship at your own risk for damage.
There has been a growing use of beeswax in skin care and cosmetics. A German study found beeswax to be superior to similar barrier creams (usually mineral oil based creams such as petroleum jelly). This beeswax can be used for soap making, cosmetics, strengthening and preserving sewing thread, and as a sealant or lubricant for bullets, plus dozens of other uses.

Honey bees use the beeswax to build honeycomb cells in which their young are raised with honey and pollen cells being capped for storage.
For the wax-making bees to secrete wax, the ambient temperature in the hive has to be 33 to 36 °C (91 to 97 °F).
