    Beautiful 1900 French Silver Tea Basket / Ball/ Strainer by Louis Goignet
    This is a beautiful tea basket / ball designed made by Louis Goignet circa 1900, decorated garlands of leaves forming a central reserve. It has handle & hanging spout hook. It is fully hallmarked ‘Minerva Head 1’ for 950/1000 silver which is the highest standard higher than sterling and lozenge with silversmith’s mark ‘L (cutlery service) C’ Louis Goignet - Paris, France1893-1928, 20 rue Barbette, Paris). This high quality and heavy metalwork in the form of a bucket is in excellent antique condition as pictured. The soft gilding to the interior is in perfect condition. It measures 1 7/8” in diameter by 1 1/8” high and 5” total length with hanging hook; it weighs 19 grams.
