Description

Presented is an antique, French silver coffeepot made during the last quarter of the 1800s. The teapot is 950 purity silver, which is higher than 925 sterling silver purity. The piece is done in a classic form and has its original wooden handle. One side has a royal crest monogram with a crown above intertwined letters. The piece has a paneled body and bands of design along the rim. The inside has coffee stains that can easily be removed with steel wool. The pot is usable.
The lid and body are marked with the French Minerva head mark for 950 purity silver and a maker's mark. The underside is marked Fontana for the retailer.
This piece is in excellent overall condition.
Capacity: approximately 4 cups or 950 milliliters.
The coffeepot measures 6 7/8 inches from handle to spout and is 9 1/4 inches tall.
